Growing surface preparation
Greenhouses:
Benches should be flat and level so as to prevent any water accumulation. In the case of wooden tables with planks which spaces of more than 3/4'' (2 cm), it is highly recommended to cover the top with a leveling material which remains stable in humid conditions (e.g. Coroplast or rigid styrofoam).
Nurseries:
Take extra precautions when laying mats directly on the ground. It must be free of debris and coarse gravel. Ideally, it should be covered with 1-2'' (3-5 cm) of compacted sand or at least by a geotextile.
